About Me
Hi, my name is Melissa
I'm the founder of Reforming You, a health and wellness practice dedicated to helping women achieve optimal health, balance, and longevity.
Before becoming a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and a STOTT Certified Pilates Instructor, I spent over two decades in the pharmaceutical industry, where I worked in the field of biostatistics (a.k.a. data planning and analysis for drug trials). I know firsthand the pressures of managing teams, meeting deadlines, and striving for excellence — all while trying to maintain personal health and balance. My work with functional medicine physicians helped me manage my own health holistically, especially in high-pressure environments, and I hope to share those practices with you.
My experiences shape how I coach. I understand the demands of professional life and the toll stress, deadlines, and long hours can take on energy, focus, and overall health. Women don't have time in their day for setbacks due to health. My coaching approach combines research, strategy, and accountability to help women and corporate teams perform at their best without sacrificing well-being.
Through private, group, and corporate coaching, I guide clients in building sustainable habits around nutrition, movement, stress management, lifestyle, and injury recovery. For women, this often includes navigating hormonal shifts and preventing long-term health risks like heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis.
I incorporate Pilates as a powerful complement to coaching, enhancing strength, posture, and resilience while reinforcing the mind-body connection essential for managing stress and maintaining optimal performance.
It has been a cornerstone of my life for over two decades. After suffering a severe herniated disc that led to a dropped foot, Pilates became the foundation of my recovery. That experience deepened my conviction: Pilates isn't just exercise — it's therapy for your body and mind.
My goal is straightforward: to help busy women and organizations establish a foundation for health that supports success in their work, leadership, and personal life.
